Well, a week has passed since this blog started and the weather has not improved one iota! And the snow that fell overnight last Thursday/Friday has been added to with a few flurries since plus not one overnight temperature has exceeded -2C with daytime ones peaking at about 3C.
So it goes without saying that I’ve not been out yet!
However, the temps seem to be rising for the next few days – albeit with not one positive or even 0C overnight temp forecast – but going to 7C day time. But…. the Daily Mirror (that great Oracle) reports that the overall arctic conditions in the main are to remain with us into May.
Any road up, it may be possible I’ll get my lure gear or my deadbait gear up and ready and have a session sometime in the coming week…
Hope so as I’m dreaming fishing almost every night now…. but even in my dreams the waters are always iced over and I have to return home dry lined… but at least I wander the banks for a while… Nightmare or what???
